Could you please tell me, if you are so supportive of widgets, why your company, Clearspring, is deleting and abandoning them, leaving thousands of developers in serious trouble?
The Clearspring support has been bad, the website is bad, the marketing spin is insulting, the text written is bad and now Clearspring is vetting all forum posts (taking up to 2 days to approve a post when the clock is ticking is disgraceful) leaving hundreds of us in the dark. The way we are being treated is truly shocking.
I know of people, including me, who are going to lose their jobs because of this. I have just persuaded a massive corporation to invest very heavily in this and now the entire situation is a complete disaster. The clients that are involved in this are EMI, Disney, Virgin, Parlophone and some of the biggest bands/films in the world today.
Why would a forward thinking widget company such as Clearspring turn its back on developers and resort to a share button, AddThis? And please don’t do what your staff are doing - churning out marketing spin telling us all how great it is, when we’re losing our jobs! How condescending can you get. The AddThis 'share this page' button is nothing compared to what Clearspring has done over the past couple of years.
It is a stunning piece of news for the tech world which is resorting in very bad press for Clearspring. I just do not understand why this would be done, unless of course you are in financial trouble, which is most people’s opinion.
Very angry that I am about to be made an idiot of, thanks to you and your company.
